KEY FEATURES:
EPD-4824 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Single Port Power Converter is used connect to PoE capable Access Points and other PoE client devices through an Ethernet cable from a PoE Gigabit Ethernet Switch. The EPD-4824 converts its 48V 802.3af/at power source into 24V power output.
The Converter uses standard IEEE pin definition to power the device and comes with a 48V power supply. Pins 1, 2, and 3, 6 are used for data transmission while pins 4, 5, and 7, 8 are used for sending power to the device via center tap. The EPD-4824G PoE generates power over CAT6, Cat5, and Cat5e cabling of up to 300 feet. By sending out 48V, Ethernet terminals such as Wireless LAN Access Points can be powered remotely from an Ethernet Switch. These protective measures make the EPD-4824 an ideal outdoor wireless solution for compatible ENS and ENH Series Access Points or other 24v passive devices.
