shields the radiating element from the wall eliminating any wall construction components from becoming a component of the antenna.
The antenna's gain makes it a perfect replacement for typical high performance omnidirectional antennas. The result is solid, consistent and uniform coverage within the intended coverage area. Typical applications include educational, industrial campuses, warehouses, business parks, healthcare centers, transportation concourses, malls, retail centers and other public access buildings. While omnidirectional antennas are well suited to installations where the antenna has a 360 degree unobstructed view into the coverage area, wall mounting omnidirectional antennas can create a number of system performance
issues. Since an omnidirectional antenna radiates equally in all directions much of the power is being radiated directly into the wall surface behind the antenna. Wall construction components become actual components of the antenna often causing multipath nulls even within the intended coverage area.
